Night-time Routine

Heyyyy girl! How’s it going today? I hope it is going fan-flipping-tastic! If you are new here, welcome and if you aren’t new, welcome back! Today I am sharing my night-time routine with you! I just started getting back into the swing of  having a night-time routine and I can already tell a difference!4d78ff0e-2d37-4646-88c1-be1c015d6f31

Without further ado, grab your pink drink and let’s get started!

Step 1

I start my taking my make-up off with a make-up remover wipe. My all time favorite are from Target and they are only $2.49. Let me say it louder for the people in the back… THEY ARE ONLY $2.49. I know I seriously can’t believe it either! I love these because they are also the ‘calming’ towelettes.

Step 2

Once I have the majority of my make-up  wiped off, I reach for my Clarisonic. I have the Clarisonic Mia2 (linked is the newest version) and I absolutely love it! When I am using my Clarisonic, my skin looks flawless. I don’t struggle with texture on the skin or dry patches when I am regularly using my Clarisonic.

Step 3

Add in your favorite facial cleanser. Personally I have been using the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cleanser. This product really helps my dry skin come back to life and leaves it as soft as a baby’s bum.

Step 4

After cleansing my face I take a quarter size amount of my FIRMx Peeling Gel Exfoliant. This is also from Peter Thomas Roth. This is my favorite exfoliant because it is not abrasive, it is so gentle on the skin. This has been the only exfoliant I am able to use daily.

Step 5

Take a clean cotton pad and splash a little bit of the Fresh Rose Deep-Hydration Facial Toner on it. Rub across your face to help hydrate and soften your skin. This helps to really cleanse your skin of impurities like blackheads and pores. Love this brand for more sensitive skin.

Step 6

My skin has been more dry than normal this Winter so I have been packing on the moisture. I have been finishing up my night-time routine with my Josie Maran Argan Oil Light. I specifically chose the Light over the regular because of how much faster it absorbs into the skin. Perfect before bed time!

After I finish with my argan oil light I head to bed. I don’t know about you, but this girl needs her beauty sleep! I hope you enjoyed reading about my night-time routine. I will try to update this as the seasons change. Also if you would like to see my morning routine let me know!

Read. Read. Read.

Hello gorgeous! I can’t believe we haven’t talked since last year! Even more so I can’t believe we made it to 2019. I hope you all had a fun and safe holiday! Justin and I were in bed cuddling our fur babies until the ball dropped. Once it dropped the TV was turned off and to bed we went. I know we act like an old couple sometimes! Anyways, enough getting side tracked. Today I wanted to share some of the books I intend on reading this year. Remember one of my New Years Resolutions is to read at least one book a month! I bought these books last year and intended on reading them, then, but life happens. You will probably recognize a majority of these books as they are all fairly popular.

Becoming by Michelle Obama

Published November 2018, I knew right away I wanted this book. Former First Lady Michelle Obama writes about finding her voice, her time in the White House, her health campaign, and her role as a mother. For me personally, Michelle is an amazing woman to look up to. She is strong, witty, and beautiful. I could not be more excited to read this 400 page book. It might just be the first book I dive into as well. Wish me luck!

This Will Only Hurt a Little by Busy Phillips

Published October 2018, I kept seeing this bright pink cover in the Target isle. It drew me in and as I read what the book was about I knew I needed it. The famous Busy Phillips memoir could not be more honest and real, “every unique story seems to have an entry point for everyone to feel like they too have been “that girl.”” She’s relatable and that is what I need. Sometimes suffering from anxiety and depression you feel like you are on the outside of it all. That is why I chose this book. Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis

Published February 2018, this book has quickly become a best-selling, self-help book. This is the one book I have already read, and I want to read it again. I first purchased this book right after realizing I needed some help with my anxiety and depression. You can quote every single line out of this book it’s that good. I want to re-read it to really focus on the words and hear them. “The truth? You, and only you, are ultimately responsible for who you become and how happy you are. That’s the takeaway.”   I’m also excited because in March she is releasing a new book called ‘Girl, Stop Apologizing’ and I already know I need this book.

The Magnolia Story by Chip & Joanna Gaines

Published October 2016, I am just now getting the book. You know I truly think I was living under a rock when this came out, because I am obsessed with Chip and Jo. We watch HGTV all day in the office and when Fixer Upper comes on gooooodbye focus! Honestly I love them, and I want everything in their Hearth and Homes collection too! When I finally heard about this book I ran to Target and snatched it up! I am so excited to finally read their story. I know a lot of their background from the show, but now I’ll know it all.

You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero

Published April 2013, this bright yellow cover caught my eye in the Target isle. As soon as I read the title of the book it instantly put in my shopping cart. *Ooops, shoulder shrug* This is another self-help book I purchased right after admitting I needed help. “Identify and change the self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors that stop you from getting what you want, Create a life you totally love. And create it NOW, Make some damn money already. The kind you’ve never made before.” They say by the end of reading this book you’ll understand why you are how you are, how to love what you can’t change, how to change what you don’t love. Now, I don’t know about you, but I could use all of that advice.
