Hi loves! My name is Chloé Danielle! I am 21 and the momma of two boxer babies! I love everything to do with beauty and fashion which is what made me decide to start my blog, but along the way I've had a lot of changes in my life which has made me open up to more lifestyle posts as well!
Love you all, always!
Heyyyy girl! How’s it going today? I hope it is going fan-flipping-tastic! If you are new here, welcome and if you aren’t new, welcome back! Today I am sharing my night-time routine with you! I just started getting back into the swing of having a night-time routine and I can already tell a difference!
Without further ado, grab your pink drink and let’s get started!
I start my taking my make-up off with a make-up remover wipe. My all time favorite are from Target and they are only $2.49. Let me say it louder for the people in the back… THEY ARE ONLY $2.49. I know I seriously can’t believe it either! I love these because they are also the ‘calming’ towelettes.
Once I have the majority of my make-up wiped off, I reach for my Clarisonic. I have the Clarisonic Mia2 (linked is the newest version) and I absolutely love it! When I am using my Clarisonic, my skin looks flawless. I don’t struggle with texture on the skin or dry patches when I am regularly using my Clarisonic.
Add in your favorite facial cleanser. Personally I have been using the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cleanser. This product really helps my dry skin come back to life and leaves it as soft as a baby’s bum.
After cleansing my face I take a quarter size amount of my FIRMx Peeling Gel Exfoliant. This is also from Peter Thomas Roth. This is my favorite exfoliant because it is not abrasive, it is so gentle on the skin. This has been the only exfoliant I am able to use daily.
Take a clean cotton pad and splash a little bit of the Fresh Rose Deep-Hydration Facial Toner on it. Rub across your face to help hydrate and soften your skin. This helps to really cleanse your skin of impurities like blackheads and pores. Love this brand for more sensitive skin.
My skin has been more dry than normal this Winter so I have been packing on the moisture. I have been finishing up my night-time routine with my Josie Maran Argan Oil Light. I specifically chose the Light over the regular because of how much faster it absorbs into the skin. Perfect before bed time!
After I finish with my argan oil light I head to bed. I don’t know about you, but this girl needs her beauty sleep! I hope you enjoyed reading about my night-time routine. I will try to update this as the seasons change. Also if you would like to see my morning routine let me know!
Hello love and welcome back to my blog! My name is Chloé Danielle in case you are new here, and I am so excited that you’ve decided to join me today. Now, it is no secret that I absolutely love make-up! I just think it is so much fun to just sit down and play with all the make-up I own. Sometimes I look like a kindergartener did my make-up and other times I look like I am ready to shoot the cover of Vogue. I mean, a girl can dream right? Looking back on all of my blog posts I couldn’t believe that I have never done a “Sephora Haul”! I mean I could live at Sephora I know where everything is located inside my local store! It is finally time to sit down and share my recent purchases with all of you! *Insert heart eyes*
I recently shared my ride-or-die make-up products with you, well forget about that post today! *Insert eye roll* I know, I am going against my favorite makeup products, but make-up is all about trying new things out, right? So I purchased 3 new foundations, a new setting powder, and even new mascara among other things of course!! Also don’t worry, not all of these were purchased at the same time! (a girl can wish though)
“A moisturizing lip gloss for subtle, everyday glamour, enriched with nourishing ingredients for long-lasting, comfortable wear and a luminous shine.”
I love the formula of NARS lip gloss because it isn’t sticky! I haven’t been able to put this down since purchasing it! *Insert heart eyes*. If you love the “Orgasm” blush you are going to LOVE their “Orgasm” lipgloss!
“A collection of high-impact lipsticks in dimensional shades that have been handcrafted to deliver extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.”
Ladies the formula of this lipstick is AMAZING. I could rave about it all day long! I have so many different shades. My recent pick up included the shade “Verbena” which is a rosy terracotta shade.
Well I am sad to say this, but that is all for my Sephora Haul today! I have been super pleased with my purchases so far! I usually have one item I don’t LOVE but this time around I have been loving everything! I also never knew how much I loved foundation! haha
Hello Love and welcome back to the blog! How are you today? I know it’s Monday, but it’s a new week with new goals! I am so excited to share today’s blog post! Upon getting a home and having some more bills on our plate Justin and I are really buckling down on how much we are spending these days. So with wanting to save some money I pulled out my crafty side and got to work. Below are all the details on how to make this adorable wreath. Enjoy!
Alright ladies and gents, besides the “burlap” ribbon this project only cost me $5 to make. Yes you heard me right, it only cost me $5 to make, and I have already made 2 of these. They are extremely easy to make and it truly looks like you bought them! Below are my 6 easy steps to making my Valentine’s Day Wreath.
Head to your local dollar store and choose the flowers you would like for your wreath. Also head down the Arts and Crafts aisle to pick up a 3-d foam circular wreath.
Once you get back home start by cutting off all the flowers. Try to cut them a tad closer to the flower as you will be sticking the stems into the foam wreath.
Once you cut all the flowers, decide what pattern you want. Start poking them into the foam to create your pattern.
Once all the flowers are on the wreath take your ribbon of choice and weave it through all the flowers to cover up the foam.
Once you have successfully weaved the ribbon through the entire wreath, take an additional piece of ribbon and tie it on the wreath to hand on your door.
Finally, hang your new wreath on your front door!!
That is it my loves! It was that simple to make this wreath! Of course you can use any flowers and ribbon that you choose. I specifically made mine for Valentine’s day, and I also plan to make one for St. Patrick’s Day.
Alright that is it for my DIY wreath! I truly hope you found this fun and exciting! If you would like to see some more of my current DIY projects let me know by leaving a comment below!
Hey, hello, hiya welcome back to the blog! With us nearing the end of 2018 I wanted to share my favorite memories from every month of the year. I thought this would be a fun way to reflect on the year that I can’t believe is almost over. I swear just yesterday we were ringing in 2018 and now we are at the end. 2018 has definitely been a year of ups and downs for me, but it has made me a lot stronger as a person.
January, wow in some ways it seems like yesterday and in other ways it feels like a lifetime ago. My favorite memory from January was my nana’s birthday. To many this doesn’t seem like anything special but in our family its a big deal. In 2015 my nana had a bone marrow transplant, so every birthday is another blessing for us. I love you nana, MORE!
February, man was it chilly here in Northern Indiana! Valentines day is always a good memory, but my favorite memory was this local restaurant Justin and I went to. It’s called ‘Yesterdays’ and its inside of an old house. They have some of the most unique decorations, and amazing food. Oh yeah don’t forget about all of their homemade desserts either!!
MARCH, my birthday month. Yes, I do celebrate my birthday for the entire month. Every year I swear I spend more and more spoiling myself! OOPS! This year was no different except I spent wayyyy more than normal. This year I turned 21 so you think that would where my money went right? Wrong. I BOUGHT A NEW CAR!! I am beyond thankful that I even had the opportunity to do this (even if my mom was a little mad) on my own. I bought a 2015 Chevy Malibu 2LT (sunroof, leather seats, automatic start, the whole shebang) from Justin’s best friend Ronnie. He special ordered my car (that I hand picked out) and had it delivered to his car lot for me. So yeah, March was a good month for me.
April showers bring May flowers. April was pretty fun for me! My mom, Justin, his mom, and I went to Chicago for a weekend as a belated birthday trip. We had so much fun shopping in the city together! That night we ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, not that I really remember it all too well because of how kind our bartender was. While we were waiting for our table we hung out in the bar and all had a couple drinks. Well Justin and I got pretty buddy, buddy with the bartender and I promise he added wayyyy more alcohol to our drinks (I’m not complaining, this was awesome) because of how well we were tipping him. Also in April I created my baby, my blog!! Crazy right? I love having a blog and although towards the end of this year I was slacking, I have so much planned for next year. So just you wait ladies and gents
Oh HEY May, I see you! May wasn’t too exciting for me, but my bestie Nicole and I did manage to make it to the beach! Have you ever been to a beach with really big dune hills? Well being the silly people we are, Nicole and I decided to climb one for our workout that day! Dumb move. I was so hot and sweaty and by the time I got half way up my feet were on fire. Once we made it to the top it was as breathtaking as always! My biggest complaint is how fast you can get down the dune opposed to getting up it! That’s unfair, lol!
June, baseball season is upon us and in full swing! Get it, because they swing the bat, lol?! Anyways, this year my mom, papa, Justin, and I all went to Wrigleyville, one of the happiest places on earth to watch the Chicago Cubs beat the Pittsburg Pirates 3-1. We all had so much fun together! We drank beer, margaritas, some bloody-marys, and ate our weight in hotdogs and peanuts!! This was such a special memory because one of the first dates Justin and I ever had was to Wrigleyville for game 3 of the 2016 World Series with my mom and papa. So it was very special to be back!
July, America’s birthday, and the best time to go pick some fruit! My mom and I went and picked strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and black raspberries at our favorite orchard. We go there every year to pick apples and pumpkins but had never been there when the fruit was in season. Let’s just say we found a new tradition!
Oh August, you and I had one hell of a month together! This was right after Justin and I split up for a little bit and my friends and Family got me out of the house. There were countless girls nights out and trips to the casino to loose all of my mommas money on Love Boats,(pinnacle vodka, blue curacao, and pineapple juice) and trips to Chicago (my favorite city) with my favorite girls! I probably had some nights where I drank too much (like the night before we went to Chicago) or days I had too much junk food this month, but I’m okay with that. All in all August you were pretty darn fun, so thank you!
September is calling, they want more money. The amount of money I spent this month… damn. September was probably crazier than August, which is saying something! September first and I was already loosing my money. I went tailgating with a group of friends for the Notre Dame vs. Michigan game! My Irish whooped some Wolverine butt that day, sorry if you’re a Michigan fan. Then that night we all decided to go to the bar in celebration, that night was something else. Let’s just leave it at that. The following week I was back on Notre Dame’s campus with my mom and our neighbors to watch Notre Dame vs. Ballstate, don’t worry we did win. A week later I found myself on a girls trip to Kansas City for a bachelorette party! If you ever make it there, you HAVE to go to the power and lights district, its party central! Nicole and I played mom that night with the bride-to-be, but it was a blast! A week later I was in Chicago celebrating the miracle of life. My nana had her annual Bone Marrow Tansplant Celebration of Survivorship picnic, and every year I cry. It’s truly amazing to see this huge group of men and woman that have beaten the odds, and that’s breathtaking. Finally the last week in September my mom, nana, and I continued our tradition of apple and pumpkin picking at our favorite orchard. So damn, September was BUSY.
October, the month of love? I watched two woman say “I Do” to the men of their dreams. Both of them looked absolutely stunning in their dresses, and yes they both managed to make me cry! Jordyn, Dani I am so happy for the two of you and I love you both! Finally Nicole and I went to a local pumpkin patch and had some fun taking pictures together!
November, another month of love and being thankful. Justin’s bestfriend (Justin was the best man) got married to an amazing woman that helps keep him in line. They are perfect for each other and I feel so lucky to get to be apart of their life. Have you ever heard of Blackout Wednesday? Apparently it is this huge drinking day the night before Thanksgiving! I just learned about it this year, lol! Nicole (her boyfriend Jordan), Jordyn, and I went out to the bars to dance our butts off to prepare for stuffing our face the next morning. Thanksgiving, the day to give thanks (although in my mind we should do this everyday) was good this year. Justin and I spent the morning half with his family and then spent the afternoon with mine before going home to watch some Thanksgiving Day football. One of Justin’s favorite traditions was always watching the games with his grandpa, who left us this year to join his wife in heaven. So now it will become something we will look forward to together.
December, the last month of 2018, and I am still trying to figure out how we got here. It’s true the older you get the faster the year goes. This month is easy because it’s Christmas. I still have a few days before then, but I love it. I love the traditions we have in our family. I love opening stocking Christmas morning with my mom while eating fresh cinnamon rolls and drinking a hot cup of coffee. BUT, there is another reason I am so excited this month… MY SISTER IS FINALLY HOME (my childhood bestfriend) and for 3 weeks!! You guys this is a HUGE deal for me! I haven’t seen Hannah in over a year, and I know as soon as I see her I will be crying!
2018 you were full of ups and downs and surprises but we made. I am still here, and I will make the most of the last few days of the year.
So what were some of your favorite memories this year? I would love to hear them, let me know by leaving a comment.
Well ladies and gents, it is that time of the year!! We are a week away from Christmas!! I’m so excited because I truly LOVE buying gifts for others! I think it is so much fun, and seeing their face light up is priceless. With that being said, today I wanted to share with y’all my favorite stocking-stuffers to give for guys and girls!
Stockings are probably one of my favorite Christmas traditions. Every Christmas morning my mom would wake up and make us cinnamon rolls. As she was making those I would start opening my stocking (I could never wait, I usually woke up at 1 in the morning to see if Santa came yet). Since I’ve gotten older I started making my mom a stocking of her own. Now every Christmas morning we wake up, make our cinnamon rolls, grab a cup of coffee, and sit down by the Christmas tree together to open our stockings.
Today I am going to share some of my favorite stocking-stuffers for her, him, and even your fur babies! We can’t forget about them! I mean if they are anything like my fur babies they are sure to be on Santa’s good list! (even if they were naughty)
Stocking-Stuffers For Her.
I’ll admit I probably spend way too much on my stockings, but it is just another gift all in itself. With that being said two of my favorite places to shop “For Her” are Sephora and Bath & Body Works. Together these make for the ultimate stocking stuffer, but don’t worry I put throw other items in there too!
At Sephora I ALWAYS get stuck at the cash rap looking at all of the travel size items! I love Christmas because they always have some adorable stocking-stuffers, that have some of the cutest packaging.
Guys aren’t usually too hard to shop for, but how many times do you get them the same things over and over. I’m hoping to help you find something different to stick in his stocking this year. Below are some of my favorite stocking-stuffers “For Him.”
Hey you, I’ve missed you! So with that being said welcome back darling! I’m so happy you’re joining me today. Today we are talking about one of my new found loves, the L’Ange Hair Tools!!
I am not typically the type of girl that does her hair often simply because of how long it takes me. I have long, thick, curly hair and tackling this mane typically takes me over an hour to do! I have a CHI straightener and I absolutely love it! It does an amazing job for me, but I wanted a wider straightener to help knock that time down! Even though I have naturally curly hair, I love curling my hair with a wand! I just love how it makes my hair look. I still have my very first curling wand that was probably $30.00 and she works wonders (BedHead curling wand), but I figured it was time for a new one (especially this nice of quality) so I treated myself to one (of each)!
I know what you are thinking, trust me I thought the same thing. I can’t afford this high end brand. Well lucky for you L’Ange Hair is having a BLOWOUT SALE! Yes you heard me right, a blowout sale! Don’t walk but run for these deals before they are gone! Wait not yet, I’m not done with this post silly!
I’ve heard of L’Ange before, but I just couldn’t bring myself to purchase their products for the price. Like I said earlier I still have my first ever curling wand from high school, so this was going to be a big deal for me! I thought about it for a couple days before purchasing the Titanium Ondulé 32mm curling wand in blush! There are so many amazing reviews and I truly understand why! The best part is, this curling wand is on sale for only $39.00 orginally $129.00! So you are saving more than you are spending! Sounds like a win-win to me!
Having long, thick, curly hair and trying to straighten it might as well be my part time job! (This is typically why I don’t straighten my hair.) I need a high quality hair-straightener to get this job done, and that’s exactly what I got by purchasing from L’Ange. I bought the L’Ange Le Gloss hair straightener in blush.
“Get your sleek, sexy styles or crazy-curvy curls with this salon-inspired, ergonomically-designed, titanium flat iron — Le Gloss is the hot styling tool that does it all! Its extra-wide plates mean that you’ll be able to straighten more hair at once and cut your straightening time in half! And if you have thick or coarse hair, you’ll be amazed at the Le Gloss’s ability to exceed your expectations. The extra-wide 100% titanium plates are embedded with infrared light technology that instills the hair cuticle with intense moisture and eye-catching luminosity. And its curved edges provide endless styling possibilities without sacrificing your strands.”
This beauty is on sale for $99.00 orginally $200.00! You are getting half off, and that’s what we call a win over here!! Unfortunately they are sold out of the blush but they still have the black and white one!
Okay, now you can run for the sale ladies!! If you do decide to purchase something from L’Ange or you already own something from them let me know by leaving a comment!
“Get a flawless look with your new, cruelty-free LUXIE brushes.j This bruh set has every brush you need to create a full face look. Next in my BOXYLUXE I received the Tarte Glitter Lip Paint. I thought this could be fun for all the holidays coming up!
“This sheer lip gloss is infused with shimmering glitter and delivers a luscious, multidimensional and high-shine finish. The reflective glitter gives your lips a fuller look while the sunflower seed wax and mineral pigments coat, soothe and soften the lips.”
“#BOXYTIP: Use this lippie alone or over your favorite lipstick to give it some sparkly dimension.” $22.00
Okay okay okay, if you thought those were good, this next item was pretty amazing! The net item I pulled out of my box was the Violet Voss Pro HG Palette. I have heard amazing things about the pigmentation in these palettes so I am so excited to try this out!
“Indulge in 20 highly pigmented eye shadow shades ranging in finish from creamy matte, to bold metallic and silky satin. the vegan, cruelty free formula is created with finely milled pigments, making for smooth application and easy blending.”
“#BOXYTIP: The shade Crystal makes an amazing highlighter for lighter skin tones, and Toffee makes a nice highlighter for darker skin tones.” $45.00
The next item is something I have contemplated purchasing for a while now, so I guess the wait to try one is finally over. My next item from my box was a Spongelle Body Wash Infused Buffer.
“Spongelle’s Body Wash Infused Buffers will cleanse, exfoliate, massage, and nourish. This multi-use buffer is dermatologist tested and formulated with extracts of yuzu, edelweiss and vetiver.’
“#BOXYTIP: In order to get the most use out of this deliciously smelling sponge, squeeze out excess water after you finish using it!” $20.00
WOW. That’s all I have to say about this next item. I was truly shocked when I saw this in my box ladies! So what am I talking about? Well its the Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream.
“Clinically proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkle this is everything your skin care routine has been missing.” Yeah you are probably right about that! “A potent content of seaweeds has been blended with Ginkgo biloba, roe, and mimosa to moisturize and visibly improve fine lines. This ultimate anti-aging cream will leave your skin feeling supple, firm, and radiant.”
“#BOXYTIP: Use after toning, before applying primer and foundation to give your makeup a flawless, healthy looking finish.” $89.oo
“This Boxycharm exclusive launch contains three buttery shades that blend seemiessly onto the skin for a natural, glowing finish. The Wander Beauty Dusk to Dawn Palette offers two blushes and one highlighter, and is specially formulated to flatter all skin tones and types. “
“#BOXYTIP: This palette is incredibly versatile! You can use it for blush and highlight, or switch things up and use all the highly pigmented shades to create a beautiful eye look.” $26.00
One thing I love about subscription boxes is the chance to try out new products, especially mascara. I am the girl that will just buy the same one she loves, unless one is placed in her lap. Luckily for me I get them in my subscriptions like Boxycharm! This month I received the Lorac Royal Treatment Mascara.
“Treat your lashes like royalty with LORAC’s Royal Treatment Primer & Mascara Duo. One end features a blue tinted primer, making for the perfect base to achiebe the darkest lashes while nourishing and lengthening at the same time. The other end features a slim wand that will hug your lashed from root to tip, thickening and volumizing without being clumpy or flaky.”
“#BOXYTIP: Let the primer dry a bit before applying mascara to prevent clumping. If your are feeling bold, wear the primer alone, the blue tint is bound to make a statement!” $24.00
Omg Omg Omg, you guys, seriously! I am in shock right now! I just received a PYT Mini Hair Straightener in my box!!! Even though I have long thick hair I know who will love this!!
“Get those pesky baby hairs, straighten those bangs or touch up your curls on the go with this incredibly adorable PYT Mini Straightener. The floating ceramic plates adjust as you style, allowing you to create straight, wavy, or curly locks. This little guy reaches a maximum temperature of 400 degrees F (204 degrees C).”
“#BOXYTIP: Throw this cute little iron into your favorite bag and take it with you wherever you go. It’s ideal for a quick bathroom touch up.” $75.00
Last but never least is something ALL my felllow BoxyLuxe girls and guys got! The Crimes of Beauty Wristlet & Portable Charger! This is so adorable and perfect for a girls night out! Especially if you’re like me and get paranoid about your phone dying.
“The ultimate bag for beauty essentials on the go. This durable and lightweight pebble faux leather bag is ideal for the jet setter, the trend setter and the girl boss who is always running to her next meeting. The portable charger is compatible with iPhone and Android devices and can be recharged through any USB port so that you’ll never miss an email, or an Instagram-able moment again.”
“#BOXYTIP: This Glam AF Wristlet makes the cutest statement clutch for a GNO or Sunday brunch.” $22.00
That’s everything from my December BoxyLuxe box ladies and lads. So were you keeping a talley on how much my box was worth? No? Well good thing I did for you! My BoxyLuxe box is valued at $386.00!!! That is AMAZING! BoxyLuxe is an upgraded version of the traditional Boxycharm that comes out once a quarter, similar to FabFitFun! The tradtional Boxycharm is $21 and is typically valued around $120.00. To upgrade to BoxyLuxe costs an additional $28, bringing you to roughly $50.00 for the box. So you decide… is it worth it?!
Welcome back girly, long time no talk! Too long that is! I swear my life didn’t used to be this crazy (at least I don’t remember if it was! I am so excited because today we are finally talked about my Winter FabFitFun Box!! Oh my gosh girls, was this an amazing box or what?! I couldn’t believe all the goodies in there this quarter! So I will stop blabbing on and dive into the box! I mean that is why you’re here right?
Alright ladies, there were so many amazing choices this season. What poison did you choose? Or were you more like me this season and couldn’t make up your mind so you chose both, or maybe even all of them?! Whatever you decided on I’m sure you will love it. Here are the options I chose…
The first decision for me was easy. I didn’t need anymore gloves or head wraps, and honestly hair products are just a no brainer for me. So I chose the Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask
The Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask helps to “Seal split ends, strengthen hair, and make your tresses more manageable with this fortifying blend of argan oil and keratin components” $49.00
“Tip: After shampooing, leave mask in hair for 5 to 7 minutes, then rinse.”
This product is so amazing and I have already started to notice a difference.
The next decision was not easy for me at all!! I absolutely love jewelry and girl we know I love my hair products. So I ended up getting two out of the three choices. OOPS!
“How gorgeous is this necklace? It’s a minimalistic yet statement-making piece with its dainty, silver-plated brass chain and chic, silver-plated circle pendant.” $49.00
This necklace is the perfect gift for any working woman’s wardrobe. Honestly a must have statement piece.
Like I said earlier I love my hair products so I HAD to HAVE this dry shampoo. Besides I have had a travel size of this, its pure gold! I mean it should be for $44.00
“It’s so easy to achieve lust-worthy locks. Use this sulfate-free dry shampoo to absorb product buildup, oil, and impurities while soothing the scalp and restoring strength and softness.” with the Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo
“Tip: Spray 8 to 10 inches from scalp, then massage into scalp until product is completely absorbed.”
The next option was sort of easy for me as. I loved make-up whole heartedly, but I had so many eye-shadow palettes already. I also didn’t really want or need over the knee socks. So I ended up choosing the Sherrie Mathews Acupuncture Jade Stone Roller.
I was pretty excited about this roller! I have been into anything and everything anti-aging lately!
“It’s no wonder this anti-aging beauty tool has been used by empresses for centuries. The jade roller helps stimulate qi (energy) and promotes a feeling of facial relaxation.” $45.00
“Tip: Gently wipe clean with an alcohol pad after each use.”
Next were the items that you didn’t get to choose, but FabFitFun chose for you! The first items you could receive were Bite Beauty lipstick, Chic & Tonic 4-piece coaster set, or Brooke Burke Body Sliders.
I loved getting lipsticks, but I love getting them more when I REALLY didn’t want coasters or body sliders lol! “A high-impact lipstick in a peachy-nude shade, this lipstick is handcrafted to deliver intense moisture and creamy wear.” $26.00
“Tip: Exfoliate your lips beforehand to create a smooth base for the lipstick.”
Okay, so that one was good! The next item I could receive was either Way of Will Elevate Essential Oil Set or the Anthropologie X Mer-Sea & Co. Body Cream. If you knew me, you knew I did not need anymore lotion OR body cream so I was hoping I got the essential oils!
I received the “Natural/Ivory” one in my box this season and I love it! “Cozy up with this woven throw, which features a stripe design and cool fringe detailing.” $49.00
“Tip: Hand wash cold and lay flat to dry.”
This season my box totaled (without my extra add on) $335.00 and all I pay is $49.99 every season! Are you ready to sign up for your own FabFitFun Box? With code ‘WINTERFUN’ you can save $10 off of your first box!! Just use the link below to sign up!
Loves it is finally that time again, that’s right you guessed it, all my favorites from the month of June and July! I decided to combine the last two months since I went MIA for a little while! This summer, sadly, is flying by! The line up has products I’ve been living in, obsessed with, and can’t get enough of! So without further ado let’s dive right in loves!
1.DKNY Slid on Shoes
I love how these look like the Michael Kors ones, but I didn’t spend nearly as much. I scored these beauties at T.J. Maxx for just $12! Yes, you heard me right! I love them because they are so neutral and you can dress them up or dress them down!
2. Oversized Hair-ties
If you have super long hair, super thick hair, or you’re like me and have super long and thick hair, these hair-ties are going to be your best friend girl! I was on YouTube one day (no surprise there) watching a video and this girl recommended them (I wish I remember what video it was) so on my next trip to Target (this is the only place I have found them) I picked a pack of them up! These are the only hair-ties I have used since! They hold my buns up while working out and make my ponytails stay in place all day long!
This should be your best friend on the days you don’t wash your hair (I wash mine 2-3 times a week) because it helps revive it and get all those natural oils out. So far the Not-Your-Mothers Clean Freak dry shampoo has been my favorite, and especially for the price! At under $5 you truly can’t go wrong, and there are some great scents! They also have unscented for those of you gals that prefer not to have the scents! Since I find myself at Target a lot that is where I tend to pick mine up, but they also offer it at Ulta and Walmart.
MAC was the first brand of lipstick I ever purchased and needless to say I fell in love instantly. Love at first application! I see so many bloggers talk about the shade “Velvet Teddy” so I decided to head over to the mall and check it out. I FELL IN LOVE! This is my everyday neutral shade. I carry this in my purse with me every where I go. So ladies if you haven’t check this shade out before, you need to!
These have been my go-to mask this Summer! If you are looking for a mask to help hydrate you skin back up from being in the Summer sun this is just the one for you! This is without a doubt the best one out there in my opinion. The mask is so cool and refreshing and sticks perfectly to your face, unlike regular mask that slip around this one stays put until the very end! Every time I use this mask my skin feels so refreshed! You can find this at your local grocery store or Ulta in the beauty section!
This has been my go to eye “cream” recently and I LOVE how it has been helping to brighten up my under-eye circles, (yes I’m young and yes I have them) while being completely natural (my favorite part)! Also all you have to do is roll a little bit on and you’re good to go! You can find this at your local Ulta Beauty
If you watch Jackie Aina on YouTube then you already know she helped to expand this line of foundation, and she talked me into purchasing it. It was one I’ve had my eye on for a while but after hearing her explain it I knew I needed it. This is my everyday foundation and I will 100% re-purchase this time and time again. I’ve fallen in love with the buildable coverage and how natural it looks on the skin.
Alright my lovelies, those are all of my favorite products from the month of June and July that I just haven’t been able to live without! I hope you enjoyed the second post in this series!! Let me know in the comments what your favorite products have been lately! Stay Gorgeous Hun! I’ll catch you in the next post!
Hello gorgeous and welcome back to Polka Dots and Peonies: The Blog! I’m so thankful you have decided to join me today because today’s post is one many of you have been requesting, my favorite highlighters! No, I’m not talking about the highlighters you used for taking notes in school, but rather the ones that you apply to your cheek bones in hopes to blind someone (not literally)! By applying highlighter we are trying to achieve the look of a glowing goddess and my top picks will help you achieve just that! Below I have listed my Top 5 highlighters based on their quality for the price!
If your favorite highlighter isn’t mentioned, chances are I haven’t tried it yet! Also let me know what your favorites are in the comment section down below!!! Alright lovelies let’s dive right in!
I bought this highlighter last year around Christmas time because it was on sale and I was picking one up for my friend as a gift. I had heard so many good things about these highlighters, and how so many people loved. Sadly I just didn’t fall in love with this like I was hoping to. I don’t know if the shade I picked is the reason why but it just doesn’t give me that blinding highlight that I want, and at $38 for a full size and $19 for a mini I just truly don’t think it is worth the money.
4. Mac Extra Dimension Skin finish Highlighter & Mac Mineralize Skin finish Highlighter
Mac was the first brand of highlighter I purchased back in 2015. I remember going to the Mac counter and trying to decide which one to purchase, (at this time they only had 2 to choose from) and I decided to go with the Mac Mineralize Skin finish Highlighter in Gold Deposit! I remember spending my first $50 at the Mac counter (I also purchased a lipstick.) The Mac highlighters are $34 and I think you get the bang for your buck, these will make you glow, but these are a little more expensive!
3. Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter
This is most beauty goers drug store holy grail for highlighter! It imitates the high-end brand quality and performs sometimes better than those at Sephora and all for a fraction of the price! You can find this beauty ranging from $7.50-$10.00! The down side? Unfortunately there are only 4 colors, and this is always in such high demand it can make it harder to find! So if you come across one, GRAB IT AND RUN!!!! This baby will having you looking like a glazed donut in no time!
2. MORPHExBRETMAN Babe In Paradise Highlighter Pallet
OH MY GOSH I’M IN LOVE!!!! If you don’t have any highlighter and you’re looking to invest in some but don’t want to spend the $40-$50 for a palette, girl this was made for you! I remember the first day this launched in store at Ulta Beauty I was there when the doors opened to buy this!! (I’m unsure if they still sell this in store, I recommend calling before you go.) This is such an amazing bang for your buck ladies! This palette is $29 AND it also comes with a fan brush to apply the highlighter. Here’s how I look at it: each highlighter is $4 and then you are “buying” the brush for $5, I truly think that is such an amazing deal loves!!! Also they’ll be able to see you from mars wearing these highlighters!
1.Anastasia Beverly Hills Highlighters
You can truly buy any of their highlighters and they just don’t disappoint! This is hands down my favorite highlighter, I mean I do own 4 of their highlighting palettes! OOPS! I have 2 of the more neutral palettes they have come out with (That Glow and Gleam) and then 2 of their more colorful palettes (Moonchild and Aurora). If you are looking to “splurge” a little go for these! If you break it down and buy a 4 piece highlighting palette (retails for $40) then you are spending $10 on each highlighter which is equivalent to 1 of the Maybelline highlighters. If you move on and buy one of the $45 palettes that have 6 highlighters you are spending $7.50 a highlighter! Not bad at all you guys! Anastasia also has 2 individual highlighters the Riviera (rose gold) and the Amerzy (gold) that both retail for $28. Personally I have not purchased them only because I feel I get more “bang for my buck” buying one of the palettes, but I have heard amazing things about them both!! Any of these highlighters will have you glowing to the Gods!
Alright my lovelies those are my Top 5 favorite highlighters. I hope you all find on that you love from this list and give it a try! If I had to pick one from the list that you should purchase it would have to be the MORPHExBRETMAN Babe In Paradise Palette, this truly is where you will get the most for your money! The only reason it’s not number one on my list is because of how much I personally like the Anastasia Palettes and don’t mind spending the extra money on them! Also if you decide to purchase the MORPHE Palette many influencers including Bretman Rock have a coupon code that allows you to save 10% off at check out!
Stay Golden Sunshine! I’ll talk to you next time!
Love always, Chloé Danielle
P.S. I am so sorry I don’t have pictures for the MORPHExBRETMAN palette, I can’t find it at the moment. I don’t believe in taking others photos and using them in my blog! Definitely google this palette though she’s GORGEOUS!
